Dalmia Cement celebrates 77th Independence Day

Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Limited celebrated 77th Independence Day at Veer Birsa Stadium in Rajgangpur. Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Gouranga Charan Raut, senior employees of Dalmia Cement Logistics Department graced the occasion as chief guests. Sanjay Kumar Mishra Hoisted the flag and inspected the guard of honour. This year’s Independence Day was celebrated with Dalmia Vidya Mandir (DVM) NCC Cadets and factory security personnel.

Chetan Shrivastav, Executive Director DCBL and Unit Head-Rajgangpur; Omprakash Khelkar, AED Lanjiberna Mines; Dr. DK Singh, AED & Regional Medical Officer Dalmia Cement (Bharat) Ltd; Dr. Kabita Singh, Chief Medical Officer Rajgangpur; Saroj Shrivastav, President, Jagruti Mahila Mandal; and Principal of Dalmiya Vidya Mandir Jaydeb Kar were present in the program as other guests.

On this occasion, students of Dalmia Vidya Mandir, Rajgangpur who achieved remarkable success in Matriculation and Plus Two Examinations of were awarded.

On the occasion of India’s Independence Day, Dalmia Cement Bharat Limited (DCBL) ushered in the celebrations of India’s Independence by honouring 76 of the nation’s war veterans. Themed ‘Saluting 76,’ the felicitation ceremony was held in different cities across Eastern states in India. The celebration began with the hoisting of the National Flag and singing of the national anthem. This was followed by a programme honouring the veterans who had served in the Indian Army and security services and recognized for their brave contributions. They were presented with a plaque, a trophy, a shawl, an Indian National Flag and a booklet highlighting the 76 heroes.  The chosen 76 veterans belonged to the four states of East India – West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand and Bihar.

Dalmia Cement Rajgangpur displayed Tricolor flying in and around its premises and factory. The Independence Day was also celebrated at Lanjibarna Mine Office, Rehabilitation & Resettlement Colony. The Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Cepartment of the plant also celebrated Independence Day by organizing various programs at 28 schools in an around the plant and mines periphery villages and at Dalmia Institute of Knowledge and Skill Harnessing (DIKSHa) centre.
