Manipur Govt inks pact with KIIT to set up Technology Innovation Hub

The Department of Information Technology (DIT), Government of Manipur has signed an agreement with KIIT-Technology Business Incubator (KIIT-TBI), KIIT Deemed to be University to establish Manipur Technology Innovation Hub (MTI-Hub). The MTI-Hub, which will be set up with KIIT-TBI under PPP model, will promote entrepreneurship in the state of Manipur. 

Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the foundation stone of MTI-Hub virtually in the presence of Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh.

This agreement was executed by Nambam Deben, Director (IT), Government of Manipur and Mrutyunjay Suar, CEO of KIIT-TBI. As per the agreement, the Manipur Government will provide furnished 10000 sq. ft. built up space with part of operation cost. To further strengthen the ecosystem development, both DIT, Govt of Manipur and KIIT-TBI will reach out to other Central Government funding agencies such as DST, MeiTY, MSME, and BIRAC-DBT.

KIIT-TBI is one of the most vibrant Technology Business incubators in India. It is a center of excellence, now reaching out to the East and Northeast regions of India and helping various stakeholders to establish sustainable incubation platforms.

This is an important achievement of KIIT-TBI, said Achyuta Samanta, Founder, KIIT & KISS, while congratulating the team of KIIT-TBI for attaining this important milestone.
