Odisha Startup Yatra embarks on exciting journey with enthusiastic participation from student community

Odisha Starup Yatra 2023 has embarked on a remarkable journey from Khordha with enthusiastic participation from 1500-odd students, where 107 innovative ideas were generated from across 15 colleges. It has laid solid foundation to materialising the State Government’s ambition of creating 5000 Startups by 2025.

Inaugurated by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday, the journey started today with various eminent institutes in and around Khordha being covered including IMIS, BJB Autonomous College, Government ITI-Bhubaneswar, Ekamra College, PN College, Centurion University, Gandhi Institute for Technology (GIFT), Sillicon Institute of Technology, Srusti Academy of Management, KISS University, RD Women’s University, KIIT University, National Institute of Fashion Technology, Nalanda Institute of Technology and ASBM University.

The excitement and enthusiasm from the student community was palpable with their passionate pitches.

The aim of Startup Odisha Yatra and Startup Xpress 2023 is to encourage grassroot innovators and promote entrepreneurship among them to achieve 5000 start-ups in Odisha by 2025.

In the 2023 edition of the Yatra, Startup Odisha has four dedicated vans that will cover all 30 districts of the state.

As the Yatra moves forward, it will cover another nine eminent institutes of Khordha district. On the second day, Startup Yarta Van will reach Utkal University, SOA University, IIIT Bhubaneswar, Institute of Hotel Management, XIMB University, ITER, National Institute of Science Education and Research, Skill Development Institute, IIT Bhubaneswar, OUAT and World Skill Centre.
