Kansai Nerolac Paints Limited, a prominent player in India’s paint industry, proudly announces the successful conclusion of its ambitious painting project in the revered city of Varanasi, as part of its Paint My City initiative. Authorized by the Varanasi Development Authority, this extensive endeavor aimed to rejuvenate key landmarks across the city, including Varanasi Kashi Dham, Godowalia Market, Bharat Seva Ashram, and the Babtpur Flyover, spanning a total distance of 25 km.

Following the successful implementation of a similar initiative in the city of Ayodhya, this project in Varanasi was undertaken as part of a broader government-led beautification effort in anticipation of the upcoming G20 summit in India.

Completed in a remarkable nine-month timeframe, the project encompassed the painting and restoration of temples, ghats, and other architectural gems that embody the spiritual essence of Varanasi and its environs. Notable areas covered include the Babtpur Flyover, a crucial 18 km stretch linking Varanasi Airport; Bharat Seva Ashram, established in 1926; and Godwalia Market, the city’s oldest and most cherished market. Kansai Nerolac also contributed to the refurbishment of the pathway connecting the Kashi Vishwananth corridor from Lahurabir to Piplani Katra, extending to Mahdagin Chauraha.

Driven by a commitment to environmental sustainability, Kansai Nerolac opted for eco-friendly paints like Nerolac Excel Anti Peel Exterior Acrylic Emulsion for this endeavor. The choice of color was deliberate, reflecting a harmonious fusion of tradition and contemporary design that complements Varanasi’s timeless charm and its urban evolution.

The project epitomizes the overarching theme of transformation evident in all Paint My City projects by Kansai Nerolac. Through meticulous planning and the use of premium quality paints, the objective was to enhance the aesthetic allure of the sacred city of Varanasi.

With a rich legacy spanning over 100 years, Nerolac takes pride in contributing to the restoration and revitalization of this revered city. The Paint My City project endeavors to infuse new vitality into Varanasi’s urban landscape, leaving a lasting impact that resonates with residents and visitors alike.
