Dalmia Industrial Training Institute’s Annual Day: A celebration of excellence and achievement

Dalmia Industrial Training Institute (DITI), nestled in the picturesque landscape of Jhagarpur, Rajgangpur, and under the stewardship of the Dalmia Audyogik Shikshan Pratishthan Trust, celebrated its Annual Day with great zeal and fervor last Saturday. Aptly titled ‘DITI PRATIVA SAMMAN – 2023,’ the event unfolded amidst a gathering of esteemed guests and dignitaries.

The occasion was graced by Ajay Kumar Panda, Principal-Deputy Director of DTE&T Odisha Cuttack, as the chief guest. Alongside him were prominent figures in the field of industrial training, including Dhananjay Khura, Principal of the Government Industrial Training Institute in Rourkela, Dr. Niladri Bhushan Parhi, Assistant Executive Director of DCBL and a member of DITI’s Management Committee, and Om Prakash Agarwal, Ex-Assistant Deputy Director of OCL Refractories Ltd, and another esteemed member of DITI’s Management Committee.

The event kicked off on a high note with the unveiling of the thirteenth edition of ‘The Shilpi,’ DITI’s annual publication, by the distinguished guests.

Dr. Niladri Bhushan Parhi set the tone with a warm welcome address, followed by an enlightening speech by Debabrat Pradhan, Principal of Dalmia ITI, highlighting the institute’s remarkable achievements while presenting the annual report.

The highlight of the evening was the felicitation of five exemplary staff members – Padmalochan Das, Sasmita Das, Sujit Kumar Nayak, Jagan Mohan Pradhan, and Anjoor Dular Tirkee – who were honoured with silver medals for their unwavering dedication and impeccable service spanning over 15 years.

In addition, Maruti Charan Sahu, an alumnus currently serving with Coal India under the Government of India, was bestowed with the prestigious DITI Talent Award-2023, in recognition of his outstanding contributions.

The Chief Guest and Guest of Honor also had the privilege of acknowledging the best trainees who excelled in various competitions, while Shashi Bhushan Tarai adeptly conducted the proceedings on stage, and Bichitra Kumar Jena expressed gratitude through a vote of thanks.

Further enriching the festivities, the Chief Guest inaugurated the institute’s new workshop building, followed by a captivating project exhibition showcasing the talents of the trainees. The exhibition garnered high praise from the guests, who lauded the innovative projects crafted by the students.

The success of the event was made possible by the dedicated efforts of staff members such as Jayant Kumar Naik, Bighneswar Lenka, Srinivas Sahu, Sujit Kumar Naik, Girish Kumar Sunyani, Raghunath Maharana, Shashikant Das, Sandeep Pradhan, Smriti Ranjan Barik, Alok Badhai, Rakesh Mansingh, Arpan Minj, Kahu Charan Behera, and numerous other students who offered their unwavering support.

The program concluded on a high note with a mesmerizing cultural performance by the talented students of DITI, leaving attendees thoroughly inspired and uplifted.”
