Enterprise Odisha facilitates strategic collaboration, links MSMEs with major industries

The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) orchestrated the 24th edition of Enterprise Odisha in partnership with the Odisha Government from January 19 to 21, in Jharsuguda. The event, a cornerstone initiative, featured exhibitions, conferences, G2B and B2B meetings, workshops, and sessions tailored for Startups and Women Entrepreneurs.

As the flagship collaboration between CII and the Odisha Government, Enterprise Odisha has played a pivotal role in fostering a robust industry ecosystem in the state and showcasing it as a manufacturing hub in the country. The exhibition provided a platform for large and medium-scale organizations to present opportunities for potential vendors, supply chain players, ancillaries, and entrepreneurs, covering job work, contract manufacturing, raw material supply, packaging, and logistics. Additionally, the event featured products and services in Technology, Sustainability, Infrastructure, Logistics, Renewable Energy, e-Commerce Platforms, Banking, NBFCs, Microfinance Institutions, Lending Agencies, Trade Departments of key countries, and various departments of the Government of Odisha.

CII Eastern Region Chairman Shiv Siddhant Narayan Kaul expressed gratitude to the Government of Odisha for creating an investment-friendly environment. He emphasized the goal of accelerating the state’s development by bridging the gap between large industrial units and MSMEs. Kaul highlighted the essential role MSME suppliers play in creating opportunities for larger firms.

The 24th edition of Enterprise Odisha boasted over 1000 participants, 150 exhibitors, and 54 industry partners and associations. Participating companies from outside Odisha, along with delegations and diplomats from Australia, Bangladesh, Nepal, and Myanmar, and industry leaders from Odisha and across the country, showcased the event’s significance.

A Handbook on “Opportunities for MSMEs” was launched during the event, further emphasizing the commitment to supporting small and medium enterprises.

CII Eastern Region Deputy Chairman Suvendra Kumar Behera noted Odisha’s transformative journey across various segments and expressed CII’s continuous interest in collaborating with the Odisha Government to build a robust business ecosystem. He highlighted the event’s role as a significant platform for investment and livelihood creation.

With over 150 B2B meetings conducted and more than 2000 registered delegates, the 24th edition facilitated strategic connections between small and large enterprises, fostering new business opportunities.
