JSP employees celebrate Chairman Naveen Jindal’s birthday as ‘Fitness Day’

Employees of Jindal Steel & Power (JSP), along with members of the community residing near its business locations in Odisha, came together in large numbers to celebrate the birthday of JSP’s Chairman, Naveen Jindal, by dedicating the day to fitness and wellness.

Under the theme “Stay Fit,” JSP and its social arm, the JSP Foundation, organized a series of events including a Mini Marathon, Yoga Camps, Blood Donation camps, and Rural Health Camps to commemorate the occasion.

The day began with an energetic start at JSP Angul, where Pankaj Malhan, the Executive Director of the Angul unit, joined by Damodar Mittal, Executive Director Iron Zone, Yoga Guru Swami Satyabindu Saraswati, and other department heads, flagged off a mini-marathon. Employees, their families, and community members participated enthusiastically, demonstrating their admiration and affection for Naveen Jindal.

Addressing the gathering, Pankaj Malhan praised Naveen Jindal as a visionary leader committed to social and sustainable development. He emphasized Jindal’s belief in JSP as not just a company, but a cohesive family where everyone works, lives, and thrives together. He conveyed heartfelt wishes for Mr. Jindal’s continued success and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the JSP Foundation extended the celebrations to include the Divyang children at the Jindal Asha Centre and the Blind and Deaf School in Angul. Students from various educational institutions and residents of local children’s homes also joined in commemorating Naveen Jindal’s birthday.

In a gesture of inclusivity, the JSP Foundation distributed essential items like board games, water purifiers, emergency lights, and fans to inmates at Angul Jail, enhancing their recreational and utility needs.

Members of the JSP Angul Management team, along with other dignitaries, extended their wishes for Naveen Jindal’s well-being and success on this special occasion.

In Bhubaneswar, the JSP Foundation organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Kalinga Hospital, conducted a Yoga camp, and distributed sweets to children with special needs. JSP President and Group Head (CSR) Prashant Kumar Hota highlighted Jindal’s remarkable contributions to the nation, particularly in the areas of industry-led inclusive prosperity and environmental sustainability.

Naveen Jindal’s achievements as a parliamentarian, sportsman, and advocate for national pride were acknowledged with admiration and respect. Employees also performed special prayers at prominent temples, seeking divine blessings for Naveen Jindal’s well-being and success.
