Kausik Basu on Monday assumed charge as the Executive Director & Refinery Head ofthe Paradip Refinery.
An Electrical Engineer from the prestigious Bengal Engineering College, Shibpur and PGDBM (Finance) from MDI, Gurgaon, Basu joined Indian Oil Corporation in 1992. He has a rich experience of over 31 years and has worked across the leading refinery units and made rich contribution to the growth of Haldia, Mathura and Panipat Refinery and Petrochemical Complex of IndianOil.
Basu has extensive experience in Maintenance, Operations & Projects of Refineries Division in various capacities. He worked in leadership roles in Projects department and as Executive Director & Functional Head of the Maintenance & Inspection department at IndianOil’s Refineries Headquarters.
Basu brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise to the key leadership role of Executive Director & Refinery Head of 15 MMTPA Paradip Refinery, which is the largest flagship refinery on the eastern coast of India and stands as “The Energy Gateway to Eastern India” and is rapidly transforming into a Mega-Petrochemicals hub of India.
