In response to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s call for a 14-day ‘Mask Abhiyan’ to keep Covid-19 at bay, Odisha Stevedores Limited (OSL) has decided to distribute one lakh masks free of cost among people.
In a special programme organised in front of OSL Corporate Office here on Monday, OSL Chairman Mahima Mishra launched the drive by distributing masks to the needy, poor, common men and women.
Mishra distributed masks among public for creating awareness on use of masks in pandemic.
An ace philanthropist, Chairman Mishra said, “OSL aims to distribute one lakh masks among the poor and needy in this fortnight-long drive.”
OSL directors Chandan Mishra, Charchit Mishra and Chinmaya Mishra were present.
The OSL Group is also going to hold a two-day corporate vaccination programme in which 260 OSL staffs will be vaccinated. The Group conducted RT-PCR test of 217 staffs recently.
Chairman Mahimananda Mishra said that OSL Group is fully committed for cause of Odisha and, accordingly, extending its support to the Chief Minister’s ‘Mask Abhiyan’.
“We started this drive in Cuttack and will distribute masks in other OSL operation area across India. We appeal to all corporates to extend their support in this period of Covid crisis,” he added.
