In a significant
recognition of their research excellence and global scientific contributions,
34 faculty members from KIIT University and KISS Deemed to be University have
featured in the prestigious World’s Top 2 per cent Scientists list for 2026,
released by Stanford University and Elsevier.
Of the 34 faculty
members recognised in the Single-Year Impact List, 13 have also secured a place
in the Career-Long Impact List, which acknowledges scientists for the
cumulative impact of their research throughout their professional careers. Notably,
11 faculty members have featured in both lists, reflecting their sustained
research excellence and significant contributions during the latest assessment
year.
The recognition
underscores the growing global footprint of the KIIT-KISS academic ecosystem
and its commitment to advancing scientific research, innovation and academic
excellence across diverse disciplines.
The Stanford–Elsevier
ranking identifies influential researchers worldwide based on standardised
citation indicators and research-impact metrics, assessing the influence of
their scholarly contributions within their respective fields.
Expressing happiness
over the achievement, KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta said 34 members
of the KIIT-KISS family had earned a place among the world's top scientists in
the list curated by Stanford University.
The faculty members
represent various scientific disciplines, and their achievements are a matter
of pride for the institutions, he said.
The inclusion of 34 faculty members in the Single-Year Impact List, along with representation in the Career-Long Impact List, marks another milestone in KIIT's growing international research presence. The recognition also highlights the increasing contribution of KISS's academic community to research and knowledge creation.
The achievement reinforces the institutions' focus on fostering a strong research culture, promoting innovation and generating scientific knowledge with a meaningful impact on society.
