Bandhan Bank, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
initiatives, has donated an advanced life support (ALS) ambulance to Sri Sri
University, Cuttack, Odisha, reinforcing its commitment to improving emergency
healthcare access. The donation forms part of the Bank’s 10th anniversary
celebrations, under which 18 advanced life support ambulances are being
contributed to healthcare institutions across India to strengthen emergency
medical response and enhance healthcare delivery for diverse communities.
The ambulance was formally handed over by Dr. Sarada Prasan Mohanty,
Regional Director – Bhubaneswar, Odisha, Reserve Bank of India, to Prof. Tej
Partap, Vice Chancellor, Sri Sri University, and Swami Satyachaitanya, Director
Operations, Sri Sri University. The ceremony was held in the presence of Siddhartha
Sanyal, Chief Economist and Head of Research, Bandhan Bank, along with other
senior dignitaries from Sri Sri University and the Bank.
This initiative underscores Bandhan Bank’s sustained efforts to improve
the reach, preparedness, and responsiveness of healthcare services, ensuring
that patients receive timely and critical medical attention during emergencies.
As part of the nationwide initiative, the ambulances have been donated to
reputed medical institutions and healthcare organizations in cities and regions
including Delhi, Bengaluru, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Vadodara,
Jaipur, Mathura, Jalandhar, Ahmednagar, Purba Medinipur, Murshidabad,
Secunderabad, and now Odisha. By strengthening healthcare infrastructure and
supporting hospitals across multiple states, the Bank is contributing to the
creation of stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities.
Partha Pratim Sengupta, Managing Director and CEO, Bandhan Bank, said,

Bandhan Bank’s CSR programmes have touched the lives of over 25 lakh
families across 82 districts in 14 states, with a strong focus on women and
rural communities. Spanning critical areas such as healthcare, education,
livelihoods, and climate resilience, these initiatives continue to reflect the
Bank’s deep-rooted commitment to social responsibility and sustainable
community development.
