Bank of Baroda (BoB) has expanded its footprint in Jharkhand by inaugurating its new Regional Office in Ranchi and opening a new branch -its 122nd branch – in Gurdari Village in a remote location in Gumla district of the State.

BoB Executive Director Joydeep Dutta Roy inaugurated the Regional Office in Ranchi, while the Gurdari bank branch was inaugurated by Zonal Head – Patna Sonam T Bhutia, and Regional Head – Ranchi Region Shankar Mahto.

The Gurdari branch will serve approximately 245 neighbouring villages, providing banking facilities to around 45,000 villagers.

“We are pleased to expand our presence in Jharkhand, deepening our commitment to this vibrant state. The opening of the Gurdari branch increases the Bank’s penetration in rural India, providing banking access to unbanked communities and fostering financial inclusion in the region. This branch will also serve some of the ancient tribes of Jharkhand such as Birhor, Asur, Baiga, Kharia and Kurukh,” said Sonam T Bhutia.
