TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) is committed to provide a seamless and uninterrupted power supply during the ensuing festive season. As part of its firm commitment to safety, TPCODL has implemented a range of initiatives and issued essential safety guidelines for temporary structures and pandals.
To ensure safety and reliability during the festive season, TPCODL strongly advises event organizers and shopkeepers to obtain electrical connections only from its authorized personnel for pooja pandals and temporary shops.
“In an unwavering pursuit of uninterrupted and safe power supply, dedicated TPCODL teams will monitor and maintain electricity provision at all pandals vigilantly, preventing any unauthorized hooking or access to TPCODL network, ensuring a joyful festival experience,” the discom said in a press release on Sunday.
TPCODL’s 24×7 Call Centre, in combination with its Social Media Monitoring Unit, is tirelessly working round the clock to promptly address and resolve any complaints. In case of emergencies or concerns, it encourages consumers to contact its toll-free helpline at 1912/18003457122 or visit the nearest office.
Furthermore, TPCODL has issued a set of imperative safety guidelines to ensure safety during the festive season.
It has asked the organisers to maintain a safe distance from overhead power lines while erecting tents or decorations, avoid unauthorized hooking from the electrical network, to use energy-efficient LED lights, and not to construct tents or decorations near electrical installations.
The discom has also urged the organisers to install appropriate fire extinguishers at pandals and near electrical installations, and to maintain a safe distance from high and low voltage lines, feeder pillars, and other electrical systems during processions.
