On Friday, amidst vibrant patriotic fervor, Jindal Steel & Power (JSP) commemorated the 75th Republic Day at the O.P. Jindal School grounds in Jindal Nagar, Angul.
Pankaj Malhan, Executive Director (In-Charge) and head of JSP’s Angul location, stood tall as he unfurled the National Flag, an emblem of our nation’s resilience and progress. Alongside him were esteemed guests, including Executive Director Damodar Mittal and other dignitaries from the company’s echelons.
During the ceremony, Malhan conveyed a message resonating with the visionary spirit of JSP’s Chairman, Naveen Jindal. With pride, he underscored the remarkable strides taken by the company in bolstering India’s self-reliance and fostering a Viksit Bharat.
“Investing upwards of one lakh crore rupees in the nation, the JSP Group has been instrumental in providing gainful employment to a staggering three lakh individuals,” proclaimed Jindal in his message. He articulated JSP’s unwavering commitment to environmentally sustainable steel production and the audacious aim of attaining net zero emissions by 2047.
Taking to the digital platform X, Jindal invoked a spirit of unity and progress, stating, “On this Republic Day, as we commemorate our historic triumphs, let us stand together, celebrate our diversity, and inscribe a new chapter of progress for our illustrious nation.”
In his address to the assembled gathering, Malhan passionately delineated the stellar accomplishments of JSP’s Angul Steel Plant. He also lauded the impactful endeavors of JSP Foundation, the social arm of the company spearheaded by Shallu Jindal, which has left an indelible mark on the lives of over one million individuals.
The event was further enriched by captivating performances from the students of O.P. Jindal School and DAV-Savitri Jindal School, evoking thunderous applause from the audience. Malhan took the opportunity to honor exemplary individuals, including selected security personnel, students, and the ePrincipal of O.P. Jindal School, Sonali Basu, for their invaluable contributions and remarkable achievements.
Sonali Basu graciously extended her heartfelt thanks to all attendees for their wholehearted participation in the joyous celebration.
The spirit of Republic Day reverberated across various locales in Angul, including Shramik Vihar, Utkal-C Mines, DAV-Savitri Jindal School, and O.P. Jindal Community College, where students, employees, and villagers alike united in a symphony of patriotic fervor, embodying the indomitable spirit of our great nation.
