Dalmia Cement celebrates 75th Republic Day

The Rajgangpur Unit of Dalmia Cement (India) Ltd. celebrated the 75th Republic Day with great enthusiasm at Bir Birsa Stadium on Friday.

In accordance with tradition, Lalji Singh, Manager of Production & Processing and the most senior employee of the company, proudly unfurled the National Flag. He extended warm greetings to all present and paid heartfelt homage to the nation and its illustrious history.

The event was graced by Abhisikata Biswal from the Technician Mechanical Department as the Guest of Honor.

Distinguished guests included Ganesh W Jirkuntwar, Senior Executive Director and National Production Head of Dalmia Cement (India) Ltd., Chetan Srivastava, Executive Director of DCBL and Head of Rajgangpur Unit, Dr. Niladri Bhushan Padhi, AED & Head of Rajgangpur HR Department, Omprakash Khelkar, Head of Lanjiberna Mines, Jaydev Kar, Principal of Dalmia Vidyamandi Rajgangpur School, and Debabrat Pradhan, Principal of Dalmia Industrial Training Center (DITI).

Extending his heartfelt wishes on the occasion of the 75th Republic Day, Jirkuntwar remarked, “India is progressing with time, and so are the Dalmia India family and the Rajgangpur family. Today is a day to honor the supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters for our independence. We all must contribute to the country’s development to fulfill our aspirations.”

In his address, Srivastava emphasized the unity that binds our nation, stating, “Our nation is united by the bond of affection. The diversity within our nation is one of its unique characteristics, and we should take pride in being Indians.”

The event also saw the recognition of students from Dalmia School for their exceptional achievements in various examinations and competitions. Additionally, 13 security personnel were honored for their exceptional service.

The program concluded on a vibrant note with a cultural performance by the students of Dalmia Vidyamandir and DITI, leaving attendees inspired and uplifted.

The meticulous coordination of the program was credited to Ipsit Das, who also delivered the welcome address. Chief Security Officer Subrata Patnaik expressed heartfelt gratitude in his vote of thanks.

In addition to the celebrations at the Rajgangpur Unit, Dalmia Cement (India) Ltd.’s Lanjiberna Mining Department and Rehabilitation Department organized various activities and competitions involving the community and children from Katang, Lanjiberna, and nearby villages. The Logistics department of Dalmia Cement Rajgangpur marked the day by adorning the truck parking yard and railway station and hosting various events.
