Vedanta Jharsuguda employs virtual reality to augment safety training at workplace

Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, has taken a remarkable leap in safety training with the introduction of an innovative Virtual Reality (VR) experience zone. This pioneering initiative aims to transform traditional safety training methods by leveraging immersive virtual simulations to create a safer, more engaging, and impactful learning environment for its workforce and partners.

The VR experience zone is a collaborative venture between Vedanta Aluminium and CHRP India Pvt. Ltd., a global leader in interactive learning technology services.

This state-of-the-art facility equips employees and business partners with a platform to undergo simulation-based training that replicates real-life scenarios. With modules spanning from ‘Work at Height’ to ‘Use of Fire Fighting Equipment,’ the VR Experience Zone offers a comprehensive range of safety training programs that address critical concerns across diverse operational areas.

The VR Experience Zone has already garnered significant recognition, with the initiative being honoured with the prestigious CII Gold Award in both the National and Regional levels for excellence in safety digitalization. This accolade serves as a testament to the pioneering nature of the initiative and its potential to shape the future of safety training across industries.
