TPCODL expands infrastructure to meet surging power demand in Bhubaneswar

BHUBANESWAR, APRIL 26, 2024 (TBB BUREAU):

In a strategic move to address the escalating power requirements, Tata Power Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) has successfully bolstered the capacity of its Sainik School and Infocity 33/11kV substations in the capital city of Odisha. The key enhancement involves the installation of advanced 16MVA power transformers, effectively doubling the previous 8MVA capacity at both substations.

This significant initiative aims to cater to the burgeoning energy needs of the region, ensuring seamless power supply to over 15,000 customers. By augmenting the substations’ capabilities, TPCODL reinforces its commitment to reliability and efficiency in power distribution, thereby empowering communities and fostering economic growth.

The commissioning of the new transformers marks a pivotal milestone in TPCODL’s ongoing efforts to modernize and strengthen the electrical infrastructure, ultimately driving progress and prosperity across the region.
