State-run National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has unveiled its latest product, AL-59 Aluminium Alloy Ingot, targeting the production of conductors for electrical transmission and distribution. This innovation comes in the wake of the launch of the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) by the Government of India. AL-59 is poised to carve a niche in the market by offering specialized characteristics to the conductors.

AL-59 Alloy Conductors boast a wide range of applications in power transmission and distribution lines, spanning from low to ultra-high voltage. Its exceptional corrosion resistance makes it particularly suitable for deployment in coastal regions. With this new offering, NALCO aims to meet the growing demand for reliable and durable conductors in the power sector.

The launch event, held on Thursday, was graced by NALCO Director (Commercial) Sadshiv Samantray who unveiled the product in the presence of the company’s first customer and senior officials from NALCO’s Smelter & Power divisions.

NALCO Chairman & Managing Director Sridhar Patra congratulated the Smelter and Marketing team for launching of the new product, which, he said is futuristic in nature.
