In a bid to fortify agricultural resilience in Odisha, the state government has commended Ecozen, a Pune-based company, for its remarkable contribution to advancing agricultural practices. The Technical Committee under the Department of Horticulture recently conducted an inspection of cold storage units in Koraput and Gajapati districts and found Ecofrost solar-powered cold rooms to exceed expectations.

These cold rooms, designed by Ecozen, not only met but surpassed the stringent specifications mandated by the Odisha government. Tailored to suit the region’s climatic conditions, the Ecofrost units ensure optimal cooling, crucial for preserving farmers’ horticultural produce.

Aligned with Odisha’s 5T initiative to enhance farmers’ income, Ecozen’s innovative solutions integrate technology with traditional farming methods. By providing robust technical assistance, including user-friendly features like a mobile application and Human Machine Interface (HMI), Ecozen empowers farmers to optimize their produce sales for better prices.

Ecozen’s patented technology, such as the thermal bank, ensures consistent cooling even during night-time operations, maintaining essential temperature and humidity levels for preserving produce freshness. Their extensive research in food technology and data analytics enables precise delineation of perishable goods’ quality and shelf life.

Collaborating with the Government of Odisha, Ecozen continues to explore cutting-edge technology to make farming more predictable and profitable. Through their strategic approach and commitment to sustainability, Ecozen is revolutionizing agricultural practices in Odisha, empowering farmers and fostering agripreneurship.
