Axis Bank, one of
India’s largest private sector lenders, has announced the launch of its Women’s
Small Business Banking (SBB) proposition, a focused initiative designed to
expand access to affordable and structured financial solutions for women-led
enterprises across the country.
The newly introduced
offering brings together lending solutions with a suite of comprehensive
banking and current account benefits, creating a holistic and streamlined
banking experience tailored to the unique needs of women-owned businesses. By
combining credit access with day-to-day financial management tools, the
proposition aims to strengthen both growth potential and operational stability
for such enterprises.
Under this
initiative, women-led MSMEs will be able to access preferential pricing,
including potential interest rate advantages across secured and
credit-guarantee-backed loans. In addition, defined current account benefits
are expected to support smoother business transactions and improved liquidity
management. The move is aimed at addressing longstanding challenges around
affordable credit access, while empowering women entrepreneurs to scale their
operations with greater confidence.
The Women’s Small
Business Banking proposition is designed to cater to a wide spectrum of
business structures, including sole proprietorships, partnerships, LLPs, and
private limited companies. These benefits will remain applicable throughout the
tenure of the credit facility and will be delivered through the bank’s
nationwide branch network via its dedicated Small Business Banking teams.
Commenting on the
launch, Vijay Shetty, President & Head – Commercial Banking Group, Axis
Bank, said, “Women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises represent a dynamic
pillar of India’s economic progress. With over 3 crore women-led MSMEs
registered on the Udyam platform, their contribution to entrepreneurship,
employment, and innovation continues to expand across sectors. As India
advances toward a multi-trillion-dollar economy, strengthening access to
structured financial solutions for these enterprises can unlock significant
economic value while accelerating inclusive growth. Through this Women’s Small
Business Banking proposition, Axis Bank aims to create aframework that enhances
affordability, strengthens financial access, and enables women entrepreneurs to
scale and sustain their enterprises with confidence.”
