Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) has scripted one of the most remarkable success stories in global higher education, soaring into the 101–200 global band of the Times Higher Education (THE) Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026 and emerging as the No. 4-ranked university in India. The achievement places the university among the world's leading institutions driving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), reflecting its growing global influence in advancing sustainable and inclusive development.

Recognised worldwide as the premier benchmark for measuring how universities contribute to the SDGs, the THE Sustainability Impact Ratings acknowledge institutions that create measurable social, economic and environmental impact. Centurion University's latest ranking marks an extraordinary ascent from the 801–1000 global band in 2023 to the global Top 200 in 2026, representing a leap of nearly 800 places in just three years. The university had steadily climbed to the 601–800 band in 2024 and the 301–400 band in 2025, underscoring its unwavering commitment to transforming lives through education, skilling, innovation, entrepreneurship and community engagement.

Centurion University's performance across individual Sustainable Development Goals was equally outstanding. It secured a place among the world's Top 30 institutions in two critical global priorities, ranking 26th globally for SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and 27th globally for SDG 13 (Climate Action), highlighting its leadership in renewable energy, environmental sustainability and climate resilience.

The university also earned global recognition for its contributions to livelihoods and food systems, ranking 43rd worldwide for SDG 1 (No Poverty) and 44th worldwide for SDG 2 (Zero Hunger), placing it among the Top 50 universities globally for advancing poverty alleviation, food security and rural development. Further strengthening its international standing, Centurion University secured the 51st global rank for SDG 14 (Life Below Water) and 65th globally for SDG 15 (Life on Land), reflecting its impactful work in biodiversity conservation, ecosystem restoration and environmental stewardship.

At the national level, the university demonstrated exceptional consistency, securing a place among India's Top 15 institutions across every Sustainable Development Goal assessed, with 13 SDGs ranked within the national Top 10. It achieved the 2nd rank in India for Climate Action (SDG 13) and 3rd nationally for Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure (SDG 9), Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11), Life Below Water (SDG 14), Life on Land (SDG 15) and Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17).

Centurion University also secured 4th place in India for No Poverty (SDG 1), 5th place for Zero Hunger (SDG 2) and Responsible Consumption and Production (SDG 12), and 6th place for Affordable and Clean Energy (SDG 7), Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8) and Reduced Inequalities (SDG 10). Additional notable achievements include 8th in India for Good Health and Well-being (SDG 3), 11th for Quality Education (SDG 4) and 14th for Gender Equality (SDG 5).

These outstanding results underscore the strength of Centurion University's distinctive development model, which seamlessly integrates competency-based education, industry-linked skilling, entrepreneurship and deep community engagement.
