Reinforcing its vision of holistic community development through quality healthcare, spiritual well-being and social inclusion, Jindal Foundation, the social arm of Jindal Steel, inaugurated the 25-bedded Jindal Aarogyam Community Hospital and performed the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav of the Deveshwar Mahadev Temple at Deojhar in Badabil, Kendujhar district, on the auspicious occasion of Hera Panchami on July 20.

The twin initiatives were inaugurated by Jindal Foundation Chairperson Shallu Jindal in the gracious presence of Padma Shri Tulasi Munda, senior company officials, public representatives and members of the local community. Together, the initiatives reaffirm the Foundation's commitment to improving the quality of life of tribal and rural communities by ensuring access to quality healthcare while nurturing faith, culture and community harmony.

The newly inaugurated Jindal Aarogyam Community Hospital has been established as a modern multi-speciality healthcare facility equipped with advanced medical infrastructure to serve underserved communities. The hospital offers comprehensive healthcare services in General Medicine, General Surgery, Gynaecology and Obstetrics, and Paediatrics, with visiting consultants providing specialised care in Cardiology, Orthopaedics, Dentistry, Gastroenterology and Ophthalmology. It is also equipped with a modern operation theatre, diagnostic facilities and round-the-clock Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) ambulance services, bringing quality healthcare closer to the doorsteps of people living in remote tribal and rural areas.

In keeping with Jindal Foundation's commitment to equitable healthcare, the hospital will provide free consultation and medical treatment to underprivileged and socially vulnerable patients, ensuring that quality medical care remains accessible regardless of financial constraints.

The consecration of the Deveshwar Mahadev Temple marks another significant milestone in the Foundation's efforts to preserve India's rich spiritual and cultural heritage while promoting faith, harmony and social cohesion. The temple is expected to emerge as a vibrant centre for worship, festivals and spiritual activities, serving devotees from Deojhar and surrounding villages.
