NALCO CMD and
Chairman of the Town Official Language Implementation Committee (TOLIC),
Brijendra Pratap Singh, on Wednesday urged member organisations to maximise the
use of Hindi in official work and incorporate it into their day-to-day
functioning.
Addressing the 24th
bi-annual meeting of TOLIC (Undertakings), Bhubaneswar, held here today, Singh appreciated
the committee’s recognition in the “Excellent” category during the 6th All
India Rajbhasha Conference organised by the Department of Official Language,
Ministry of Home Affairs, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas 2026.
Encouraging the
participating organisations to further strengthen the use of Hindi in official
communication, Singh called for greater adoption of the language in routine
official functioning.

Pattanayak, Director (HR), NALCO and Vice Chairman, TOLIC (Undertakings),
Bhubaneswar, and Ashutosh Rath, Executive Director (HR), NALCO, were present at
the meeting as distinguished guests.
During the
deliberations, key decisions were taken for the effective implementation of
Rajbhasha, with representatives of member offices sharing suggestions and views
on further promoting the use of Hindi in official work.
Winners of various competitions organised under the aegis of TOLIC were also felicitated on the occasion.
The TOLIC magazine was also launched during the meeting, which was attended by representatives and heads of various public sector undertakings based in Bhubaneswar.
