The Jindal Foundation
marked Seva Diwas on the birthday of
its Chairperson, Shallu Jindal, with a series of humanitarian and community
outreach initiatives aimed at promoting dignity, well-being and inclusion among
underprivileged and socially vulnerable communities.
The initiatives
reached children, senior citizens, women and young sportspersons across
orphanages, old-age homes, villages and special care institutions, bringing
moments of joy and togetherness to the communities.
Senior citizens at
old-age homes sang devotional bhajans and offered blessings for the
Chairperson's good health, while children at residential care homes created
rangoli, sang, danced and prayed for her long life. Residents expressed
gratitude for the Foundation's continued support and the personal attention
extended by its team members.
Healthcare and
welfare formed a key part of the observance. Special Ayurveda and geriatric
health camps, physiotherapy services and general medical check-ups were organised
for elderly residents. Dry ration supplies and special meals were provided to
children and senior citizens.
In an effort to
promote menstrual health and hygiene, awareness sessions were conducted for
adolescent girls, and sanitary napkins were distributed among girls from
underprivileged families.
In rural areas,
women's groups and village women participated in prayers, bhajan-kirtan and
community celebrations, expressing gratitude for the Foundation's support in
improving their livelihoods. Fruit packets and snacks were distributed among
the participants.
The Foundation also extended its support to grassroots sporting talent. Under-14 football players from Serenda and Bhadrasahi Gram Panchayats received sports gear and jerseys, benefiting 85 young players. Senior Foundation officials encouraged the budding sportspersons and conveyed the Chairperson's good wishes.
Through these initiatives, the Jindal Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to building an inclusive society in which underprivileged and socially vulnerable people have access to essential care, meaningful opportunities and the means to lead lives of dignity and fulfilment.
