KIIT IAS Academy
(KIASA), an initiative aimed at providing quality guidance, mentorship and
preparation facilities to public service aspirants, was launched at KIIT-Deemed
to be University here on Thursday by KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta.
Inaugurating the
academy, Dr Samanta said KIASA had been established to provide aspirants with
access to quality guidance and a dedicated ecosystem for preparing for the
civil services examination.
Describing the
academy as his dream project, Dr Samanta said KIASA would nurture and mentor
young aspirants from the KIIT and KISS family who aspire to join the Civil
Services.
He said civil
services aspirants had traditionally been required to travel outside Odisha to
access quality coaching and guidance. With the launch of KIASA, such facilities
would now be available closer to home, enabling students to pursue their
ambitions with greater support and accessibility.
IG of CISF Shiv Kumar
Mohanka described the initiative as an outstanding effort and said universities
generally focused on providing certification of skills, while an initiative
like KIASA went beyond conventional education by preparing young people to
serve the nation.
Director, KSPP and
Head of KIASA Bimbadhar Pradhan said the academy marked the realisation of an
aspiration to create an institutional platform for civil services preparation
in the region.
Pradhan said KIIT had
consistently demonstrated the power of visionary leadership and compassion by
creating an ecosystem aimed at empowering the most deprived sections of
society.
Chandra Shekhar
Yadav, Director, TICS Eduworld LLP, also addressed the gathering. KIIT has
partnered with TICS Eduworld LLP as part of the initiative.
KIIT Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Debashis Bandyopadhyay, University Vice-Chancellor Prof Saranjit Singh and Pro-Vice-Chancellor-cum-Registrar Prof Jnyana Ranjan Mohanty also addressed the students.
The launch of KIASA is expected to provide aspiring civil servants from the KIIT and KISS family with structured academic support, mentorship and access to quality preparation resources, strengthening opportunities for students seeking careers in public service.
