Day Three of the Junior & Senior
Artistic Gymnastics National Championships 2026–27 witnessed another
exhilarating display of talent and precision in the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics
(WAG) category at the Gymnastics High Performance Centre, Kalinga Stadium.
In the Junior Women’s Individual
All-Around competition, Maharashtra’s Pahel Shah clinched the gold medal with
an impressive score of 41.366, showcasing exceptional consistency, elegance,
and execution across all four apparatus.
West Bengal’s Paromita Bera secured
the silver medal after a closely contested battle, finishing with 41.167. Her
state teammate Shreya Ghosh added to Bengal’s medal tally by claiming the
bronze with a score of 40.667, underlining the state's remarkable depth in the
discipline.
In the Senior Women’s Team
Championship 2026–27, the Railways Sports Promotion Board produced a commanding
performance to capture the gold medal with a formidable total of 130.899.
West Bengal finished in second place
with an aggregate score of 124.000, while Maharashtra secured the bronze medal
with 123.166, completing a fiercely contested podium. Host state Odisha
delivered a commendable performance to finish fourth with 119.635, reflecting
its growing strength and competitiveness on the national stage.
The championship continues to
underscore the rising standards and expanding depth of women’s gymnastics in
India, with athletes displaying extraordinary skill, composure, and competitive
spirit across every event.
