The Bharat
Electricity Summit 2026, a flagship global conference-cum-exhibition for the
power and electricity sector, will be held from 19-22 March 2026 at
Yashobhoomi, positioning India at the centre of global conversations on energy
transition, innovation and sustainability.
The Summit is
expected to feature over 100 high-level conference sessions, more than 300
speakers, representatives from more than 80 countries, over 500 exhibitors
including over 100 startups and more than 25,000 visitors, making it one of the
largest electricity-focused platforms globally. The scale and diversity of
participation underscore the growing importance of India’s power sector in the
global energy landscape.
The Summit, themed
“Electrifying Growth. Empowering Sustainability. Connecting Globally.”, will
feature a comprehensive programme comprising high-level sessions including
strategic conferences, technical conferences, leadership panels and focused
industry interactions aimed at shaping the next phase of growth for the global
electricity sector. Several International Energy Ministers and Ministers from
Indian States, along with senior representatives from the central and state
governments, are expected to attend, reinforcing the Summit’s stature as a
premier platform for dialogue, collaboration and innovation in the electricity
and clean energy ecosystem.
Key speakers at the
Summit will include Manohar Lal Khattar, Minister of Power and Housing &
Urban Affairs; Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public
Distribution and Minister of New and Renewable Energy; Shripad Naik, Minister
of State for Power and New & Renewable Energy; along with senior officials
and global leaders from the energy domain. The presence of international
delegates, including Energy Ministers from 10 countries, Power Ministers and
Secretaries from over 25 states and Union Territories, Ambassadors from around
60 countries, and more than 100 CEOs, reflects the Summit’s global reach and
strategic importance.
Bringing together
policymakers, regulators, academia, utilities, investors and innovators, the
Summit will deliberate on key priorities shaping India’s evolving electricity
ecosystem. A strong emphasis will be placed on vendor development under the
Make in India initiative, focusing on indigenisation of critical technologies
across emission systems, solar power, energy storage, transmission
infrastructure and digital distribution. With investment opportunities
estimated at over ₹50
lakh crore across generation, transmission, distribution and storage by 2032, the
event aims to catalyse innovation, competitiveness and resilience in the
sector.
The participation of
more than 80 countries highlights increasing global interest in India’s rapidly
transforming power sector and its emerging leadership in building a resilient,
affordable and sustainable energy future. Strong representation from Indian
states and Union Territories, including Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh,
Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Odisha, Gujarat, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh,
Chhattisgarh and Delhi, is expected to drive critical discussions on renewable
integration, grid modernisation and distribution efficiency.
A large-scale
exhibition spread over more than 20,000 square metres will serve as a central
pillar of the Summit, showcasing cutting-edge technologies across the
electricity value chain. The exhibition will feature thematic zones covering
power generation, transmission, renewable and clean energy, energy storage,
distribution, smart grids, and emerging technologies, offering a platform for
industry leaders and innovators to present advancements in energy systems,
digital solutions and efficiency technologies.
The Summit will also
host specialised programmes such as International and National Ministerial
Meets, CEO forums across generation, transmission and distribution segments,
and a sector-wide CEO dialogue featuring global energy leaders. Thematic
sessions will explore critical areas including stationary energy storage,
Industry 4.0 applications in transmission, hydropower, carbon markets,
regulatory frameworks and vendor development, alongside emerging themes like
energy startups, youth engagement and Women in Electricity leadership.
International
collaboration will be further strengthened through dedicated sessions with
global institutions and partners, including engagements with the British High
Commission and leading energy associations. Industry-focused dialogues such as
CableTech 2026 and discussions on distributed energy storage will spotlight
emerging opportunities and innovations shaping the sector’s future.
Strategic discussions
at the Summit will centre on strengthening interconnected electricity systems,
advancing India’s leadership in the global energy transition, building
resilient supply chains, unlocking finance and accelerating clean energy
deployment. The sessions will also examine improving ease of doing business,
expanding inclusive energy access and developing a future-ready workforce.
Expected to attract a
diverse global audience ranging from government leaders and project developers
to financial institutions, MSMEs, manufacturers and academia, the Summit will
also facilitate structured buyer-seller meets, enabling direct engagement
between international procurement agencies and Indian industry players.
Aligned with the
vision of Narendra Modi for energy security, sustainability and global
leadership, the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026 is poised to act as a catalyst
in strengthening India’s role in the global electricity ecosystem while driving
investment, fostering technology partnerships and deepening international
cooperation.
