Indian gymnast Pranati Nayak scripted another memorable chapter in her
international career by clinching the silver medal in the Vault event at the
prestigious FIG World Challenge Cup 2026 held in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, from May
21 to 24. Representing India on the global stage, the ace gymnast from the
Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre delivered an impressive performance
against competitors from 16 participating nations, further strengthening
India’s growing reputation in international gymnastics.
Pranati showcased remarkable consistency and composure throughout the
competition. In the qualification round, she secured the second position with a
score of 12.875, narrowly behind the leading score of 13.325. Carrying her
momentum into the finals, she elevated her performance with a score of 13.025
in the Vault event to secure a well-deserved second-place finish on the podium
amid a fiercely competitive international field.
Her latest achievement stands as a testament to the dedication,
resilience, and high-performance training ecosystem fostered at the Odisha
AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre, which has emerged as a
nurturing ground for elite gymnastic talent in the country.
Reflecting on her success, Pranati said, “The last few months have tested
me with setbacks and tough days, but I never lost faith in myself. Standing on
the podium with this medal proves that patience, perseverance, and belief truly
make a difference. I am deeply grateful to my coaches for constantly
encouraging me and to Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre for
giving me the platform to excel in international competitions. I will continue
to give my best and bring glory to my country.”

The Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre has
consistently produced strong performances at both national and international
platforms. Athletes from the centre have excelled at events such as the
International Continental Cup 2026 in Lisbon, the Artistic Gymnastics Asian
Championship 2025, the FIG World Cup 2025 in Antalya, Turkey, and the Artistic
Gymnastics National Championships 2025–26, reaffirming the centre’s growing
stature as a hub of excellence preparing Indian gymnasts for the global arena.
