The sacred land of Devboomi at Jindal Nagar in Odisha came
alive with chants of "Jai Jagannath" and overwhelming spiritual
fervour as Naveen Jindal, Chairman of Jindal Steel, led the grand Bahuda Yatra
celebrations on Friday. Thousands of devotees, including employees, their
families and members of the local community, participated in the auspicious
return journey of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra to the
sanctum sanctorum, transforming the occasion into a magnificent celebration of
faith, devotion and Odisha's rich spiritual heritage.
Serving as the Prime Servitor, Jindal Steel Chairman Naveen
Jindal performed the sacred Bahuda Yatra rituals in accordance with the
centuries-old traditions of Puri's Sri Kshetra under the guidance of temple priests.
He was accompanied by his mother and MLA-Hisar (Haryana), Savitri Jindal, wife Shallu
Jindal, Chairperson of the Jindal Foundation, daughter Yashasvini Jindal, and
son-in-law Shashwat Somani.
After the rituals, the Jindal family joined thousands of
devotees in pulling the beautifully adorned chariots of the Holy Trinity,
creating an atmosphere filled with devotion, traditional hymns and the
resonating chants of "Jai Jagannath." The celebration reflected the
timeless traditions of Lord Jagannath's culture while fostering a deep sense of
unity and spiritual harmony among the devotees.
Expressing his gratitude on the auspicious occasion, Naveen
Jindal said, "I am thankful to Lord Jagannath for blessing my family and
me with the opportunity to participate in the sacred Bahuda Yatra along with
the employees, their families, and the local community at Jindal Nagar. We pray
to the Lord for the happiness, good health, peace and prosperity of every
individual. May His divine blessings continue to guide us all. Jai
Jagannath!"
Jindal also highlighted the Jindal Foundation's ongoing humanitarian initiatives during the Rath Yatra, stating that its Prasad Seva centres in Puri are operating round the clock to provide free, wholesome meals and essential support to visiting pilgrims. For over a decade, the Foundation's Rath Yatra Seva initiative has served lakhs of devotees from Rath Yatra through Suna Besha, reflecting its enduring commitment to selfless service, compassion and the sacred values associated with Lord Jagannath's annual festival.
The grand Bahuda Yatra at Jindal Nagar once again stood as a remarkable testament to the spirit of devotion, cultural tradition and community service, with Naveen Jindal leading thousands of devotees in seeking the divine blessings of Lord Jagannath for peace, prosperity and universal well-being.
