Jindal Steel Limited, formerly known as Jindal Steel &
Power Limited, has announced a major leadership overhaul aimed at accelerating
its next phase of growth and strengthening corporate governance. The decisions
were approved at the company's Board of Directors meeting held on July 24,
2026.
The Board has re-appointed industry veteran Vidya Rattan
Sharma as an Additional Director and Managing Director of the company for a
period of two years, effective July 24, 2026. His return marks a significant
leadership milestone for Jindal Steel as it focuses on expanding its footprint
across the steel, power, and mining sectors.

industry experience, Sharma has previously played a pivotal role in shaping the
company's growth trajectory. He served as Managing Director from 2019 to 2022
and earlier as Deputy Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer between

expertise, Sharma is expected to steer Jindal Steel through its next phase of
business expansion, operational excellence, and value creation.
Alongside the Managing Director's appointment, Jindal Steel
has significantly reinforced its senior management team through a series of key
executive appointments designed to support the company's evolving business
ambitions.
The Board has appointed Sandeep Modi as the company's Chief

his appointment, Sunil Agrawal, who has been serving as Interim CFO, will step
down from the position while continuing to oversee the company's finance
function, ensuring a seamless leadership transition.
Strengthening operational leadership, Rajiv Kumar has been

senior leadership positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Vedanta
Aluminium and Vice President – Operations at Tata Steel's Kalinganagar plant.
In his new role, he will oversee operations across all manufacturing facilities
and mining assets, with a focus on operational efficiency, productivity, and
sustainable growth.
Further reinforcing its people strategy, the company has
appointed Sukhjit S. Pasricha as Head – Human Resources. With nearly three
decades of HR leadership experience across leading organisations including
IndiGo, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj Finance, and Airtel, Pasricha will spearhead
Jindal Steel's talent transformation initiatives, leadership development, and
organisational capability-building efforts.
In another important corporate governance decision, the Board has recommended the appointment of S S Kothari Mehta & Co. LLP as the company's Statutory Auditors for a five-year term commencing from the conclusion of the upcoming 47th Annual General Meeting (AGM) until the conclusion of the 52nd AGM, subject to approval by shareholders.
