Reinforcing its mission of ‘AI for Everyone’, Reliance Jio has launched an extensive statewide initiative to make thousands of teachers and students across Odisha AI-ready through its flagship Jio AI Classroom programme. The initiative aims to equip educators and learners with essential artificial intelligence skills, preparing them to confidently navigate and thrive in an AI-powered future.

More than 5,000 teachers and students from over 650 schools across Odisha have already enrolled in the innovative programme, which is designed to democratise access to AI education and build strong foundational understanding among young learners and educators alike. The Jio AI Classroom is a free, structured national AI training initiative focused on future skills readiness, with AI workshops being conducted in schools and colleges across the state.

The programme follows a comprehensive four-module structure, featuring engaging video lectures, detailed PDF learning materials, reference videos, and quizzes and assignments after each module. Participants who successfully complete the programme are awarded a completion badge, while learners accessing the course exclusively through JioPC also receive a Jio Institute certification, validating both theoretical knowledge and practical application. Students can enrol and complete the course via jio.com/ai-classroom using a desktop or laptop, gaining valuable hands-on exposure to AI technologies.

This four-week AI learning journey is open to teachers and students from Class VI to Class XII. The curriculum covers AI fundamentals, generative AI models, effective prompting techniques, and the use of AI tools to enhance learning and creativity — ranging from problem-solving and content creation to music, art, storytelling, and smart solutions. Learners are also introduced to real-world applications such as website building, presentations, content creation and project development, culminating in their first guided AI project.

In parallel, the programme offers online expert-led training for teachers, empowering them to integrate AI tools into daily lesson planning, grading, assessments, question paper preparation and classroom management, thereby enhancing teaching effectiveness and learning outcomes.

Powered by JioPC and developed by Jio Institute, the Jio AI Classroom provides free access to advanced AI tools and aligns closely with the National Education Policy (NEP) vision of digital upskilling. Students completing the programme can earn a recognised skill certification from Jio Institute, further strengthening their academic credentials and career prospects.

As part of the initiative, JioPC has also announced an AI Classroom Scholarship, offering learners who complete the AI foundation course subsidised access to JioPC. This enables students to work on AI projects, experiments and practical applications without the burden of purchasing expensive computing devices.

Earlier, Reliance Jio had rolled out a large-scale campaign across Odisha to introduce college students to Artificial Intelligence through Google Gemini Pro, covering over 600 colleges and higher education institutions. Senior Jio executives conducted interactive sessions highlighting the practical use of AI tools such as NotebookLM for note-making, assignments, coding, project ideation, design, interview preparation and collaborative learning, enabling students to enhance both academic performance and professional readiness.

By combining cutting-edge AI technologies with its expansive True 5G network, Reliance Jio continues to bridge the digital divide across Odisha, empowering teachers and students to become meaningful contributors to the future digital economy. The initiative underscores Jio’s commitment to inclusive digital growth and AI-driven skill development.
