The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) is set to bring together the country’s leading researchers, industry leaders, start-ups, investors and policymakers at the Research, Industry, Start-up and Entrepreneurship (RISE) Conclave 2026 in Bengaluru, aiming to accelerate technology commercialization and innovation-driven economic growth in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047.

The two-day conclave, scheduled for June 13-14 at the VM Ghatage Convention Centre on HAL Airport Road, is being organised by CSIR through its constituent laboratories — CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute and CSIR-Fourth Paradigm Institute. The event carries the theme, “Innovation & Entrepreneurship Driven Growth for Viksit Bharat 2047,” and is expected to serve as a key national platform for fostering collaboration across the research, industrial and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The conclave will be inaugurated by Union Science & Technology Minister Jitendra Singh and will see participation from senior government officials, scientific leaders, industry representatives and entrepreneurs from across the country. N. Kalaiselvi, along with directors of various CSIR laboratories, will lead discussions on strengthening India’s research and innovation landscape and enhancing industry-academia partnerships.

More than 100 start-ups, MSMEs and innovators supported by organizations including Indian Space Research Organisation, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Biotechnology, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Indian Council of Medical Research and Ministry of Earth Sciences will showcase cutting-edge technologies and products, offering opportunities for networking, technology transfer, investment partnerships and market access.

The programme will feature thematic sessions on aerospace technologies, artificial intelligence and data science, agri-food innovation, science communication, entrepreneurship, venture capital and industry-academia collaboration. Experts from leading research institutions, corporations, start-ups and investment networks will share perspectives on emerging technologies, commercialization pathways and future market opportunities.

A major focus of the conclave will be facilitating direct engagement between industry leaders, researchers and start-ups through discussions on intellectual property, technology transfer, funding mechanisms and scaling deep-tech innovations. Strategic partnerships and technology transfer agreements are also expected to emerge from the event, strengthening the bridge between laboratory research and commercial application.

By promoting cross-sector collaboration and entrepreneurship, RISE Conclave 2026 is expected to create fresh opportunities for economic growth, job creation and industrial competitiveness while reinforcing CSIR’s commitment to positioning science, innovation and enterprise at the heart of India’s development journey towards Viksit Bharat 2047.
