Tata Power Solaroof, the rooftop solar solutions arm of Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd (TPREL), on Tuesday said it added 88,397 rooftop solar installations during the July-September quarter of FY27, registering a 33 per cent year-on-year growth.

The company installed 426 MWp of rooftop solar capacity during the second quarter, up 15 per cent from 369 MWp in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal.

During the first half of FY27, Tata Power Solaroof added more than 1.68 lakh rooftop solar installations, marking a 50 per cent year-on-year increase over 1,12,729 installations recorded in the year-ago period.

The capacity addition during the April-September period stood at 801 MWp, representing a 25 per cent growth over the 639 MWp installed in H1 FY26.

With the latest additions, Tata Power Solaroof's cumulative rooftop solar installations have crossed 5.75 lakh, with aggregate capacity surpassing 5.67 GWp across residential and commercial and industrial (C&I) segments nationwide.

The company said the performance further strengthened its position as India's No. 1 rooftop solar player. It has been recognised by CRISIL as the country's No. 1 rooftop solar company for 12 consecutive years.

Uttar Pradesh emerged as the largest contributor to installations during the first six months of FY27, with 44,014 installations aggregating around 172 MWp of capacity. Maharashtra followed with 22,165 installations and nearly 100 MWp, while Rajasthan recorded 21,275 installations contributing 99 MWp. Kerala added 15,477 installations, accounting for around 65 MWp.

On a cumulative basis, Uttar Pradesh leads with 1,16,254 installations and 528 MWp of capacity, followed by Maharashtra with 73,578 installations and 1,041 MWp. Kerala has recorded 69,734 installations with more than 310 MWp, while Rajasthan has contributed 44,798 installations and 390 MWp.

The company said the strong growth reflects rising consumer adoption of rooftop solar and its expanding presence across key markets.

Tata Power Solaroof is also supporting the Government of India's rooftop solar adoption drive under the Pradhan Mantri Surya Ghar Yojana through its 'Ghar Ghar Solar' campaign, aimed at increasing awareness and enabling households to adopt clean and affordable energy solutions.

The company has a presence across residential, commercial and industrial segments and offers an end-to-end rooftop solar proposition, including high-performance solar modules backed by a 25-year performance warranty, financing options, insurance coverage and after-sales services.

With a pan-India network of more than 740 channel partners, Tata Power Solaroof said it is expanding the reach and availability of rooftop solar solutions across the country.
