Aditya
Alumina Refinery celebrated the 77th Republic Day of India on Monday with
immense enthusiasm and patriotic fervour, bringing together employees, local
residents and schoolchildren in a vibrant display of unity and national pride.
The celebration, organised in close association with the surrounding community,
reflected the shared commitment to the values enshrined in the Constitution of
India.
The event
drew an overwhelming response from the region, with nearly 1,500 people in
attendance, including around 500 schoolchildren from neighbouring villages. The
celebrations commenced with the hoisting of the national flag by Mazhar Beig,
Unit Head and President, Aditya Alumina Refinery, followed by the soulful
rendition of the National Anthem, filling the atmosphere with pride and
reverence.
Adding
colour and energy to the occasion, a lively cultural programme was presented by
schoolchildren, who captivated the audience with patriotic songs, traditional
dances and thematic performances. These presentations beautifully showcased
India’s rich cultural heritage while reinforcing the ideals of freedom, unity
and democracy. The performances were met with warm applause and appreciation
from all present.
In a gesture
of recognition and gratitude, individuals who made outstanding contributions in
the fields of security and community service were honoured during the
programme, underlining the refinery’s respect for those who work selflessly for
the safety and well-being of society.
Speaking on
the occasion, Mazhar Beig reaffirmed Aditya Alumina Refinery’s commitment to
strengthening its bond with the local community. He emphasised that the
organisation remains dedicated to inclusive growth, social responsibility and
upholding national values, ensuring that progress goes hand in hand with
community development.
