Asia Healthcare Holdings (AHH), a leading healthcare platform, is strengthening its footprint in eastern India with a proposed investment of Rs 100 crore in Odisha, marking a significant push into the state's specialised tertiary healthcare segment.

The company on Tuesday announced its expansion into Odisha, with plans to establish a new facility of the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) in Bhubaneswar. The investment will also support other key initiatives aimed at strengthening its healthcare infrastructure and expanding access to advanced medical services in the state.

With an existing investment of Rs 650 crore in AINU, AHH has committed an additional Rs 100 crore towards the Odisha expansion and other strategic initiatives, reflecting its growing focus on specialised healthcare delivery and emerging regional markets, the company said in a statement.

The proposed facility is expected to strengthen access to high-end tertiary care in urology and nephrology, with a focus on advanced treatment capabilities, including robotic surgeries. The expansion is expected to bring specialised medical expertise and technologically advanced treatment options closer to patients in Odisha and neighbouring regions.

The move underscores the growing interest of organised healthcare players in expanding beyond major metropolitan centres, as demand for specialised and technology-driven medical services continues to rise.

As part of its broader growth strategy, AHH is targeting a network of 10 hospitals under the AINU brand by the close of the current financial year, signalling an aggressive expansion roadmap in the specialised healthcare space.

The Odisha foray is expected to further consolidate AINU's presence in eastern India while reinforcing AHH's commitment to building a wider network of advanced specialty healthcare facilities.
