The Executive Director and CEO of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Dr Ashutosh Biswas, paid a courtesy visit to the Chief Secretary of Odisha, Anu Garg, on Tuesday, holding an in-depth discussion on strengthening healthcare services and enhancing institutional collaboration across the state.

During the meeting, Dr Biswas apprised the Chief Secretary of key developmental priorities related to patient care at AIIMS Bhubaneswar and outlined a range of ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the quality, accessibility and efficiency of healthcare delivery. He highlighted strategic measures being undertaken at the institute to address evolving healthcare demands while reinforcing AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s role as a premier tertiary care and academic medical institution in eastern India.

The interaction focused on critical areas such as improving healthcare delivery systems, strengthening institutional support mechanisms and aligning state and central efforts to effectively respond to the growing healthcare needs of Odisha’s population. Both sides underscored the importance of coordinated action to ensure seamless patient care, capacity building and long-term sustainability of healthcare infrastructure.

Chief Secretary Garg appreciated the comprehensive and holistic approach adopted by AIIMS Bhubaneswar towards healthcare delivery and patient-centric development. She reaffirmed the state government’s continued support and expressed a shared commitment to advancing quality healthcare services through stronger institutional collaboration, underscoring the collective goal of improving health outcomes for the people of Odisha.
