The Eastern India Regional Council
(EIRC) of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has elected its
new office bearers for the year 2026, marking a fresh chapter of leadership for
the region’s apex professional body. CS Bishal Harlalka has assumed charge as
Chairman of the EIRC, with CS Satish Kumar taking over as Vice Chairman and CS
Santosh Kumar as Secretary.
On assuming office, CS Harlalka
expressed gratitude to the members of the Regional Council for their trust and
support. He lauded the significant contributions of Immediate Former Chairman
CS Anuj Saraswat and Former Chairman CS (Dr.) Mohit Shaw, acknowledging their
leadership and seeking their continued guidance as the Council charts its course
for the year ahead.
The EIRC of ICSI has a wide and
vibrant footprint across eastern India, encompassing eight chapters — Bhubaneswar,
Dhanbad, Guwahati (Northeastern), Hooghly, Jamshedpur, Patna, Ranchi and
Siliguri — playing a pivotal role in professional development, governance
advocacy and student engagement in the region.
With the new leadership team in place,
the EIRC-ICSI is poised to strengthen its outreach, enhance professional
standards and drive impactful initiatives across eastern India in 2026.
The Institute of Company Secretaries
of India, established under the Company Secretaries Act, 1980, is a premier
statutory professional body functioning under the Ministry of Corporate
Affairs, Government of India. With a strong focus on quality education, ethical
standards and professional excellence, ICSI today represents over 78,000
members and nearly 2.5 lakh students, contributing significantly to India’s
