to all MLAs across the state, urging them to actively support the construction,
timely completion, and maintenance of quality standards of Anganwadi Centres in
their respective constituencies.
In her letter, Parida
emphasized the need to further strengthen women and child development
initiatives in the state through collective efforts and active participation of
public representatives.
She also stressed the
importance of ensuring women’s participation in the ongoing developmental works
at the constituency level.
The Deputy Chief Minister noted that the development of Anganwadi infrastructure is vital for strengthening grassroots-level services related to child care, nutrition, and women’s welfare across the state.
It is noteworthy that during the financial years 2024–25 and 2025–26, a total of 3,293 new Anganwadi Centre (AWC) buildings were inaugurated and handed over under the Anganwadi infrastructure strengthening initiative.
