NEW DELHI, MARCH 15, 2026

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has announced a marginal revision in the fee for the FASTag Annual Pass, increasing it from ₹3,000 to ₹3,075 for the financial year 2026–27. The revised fee will come into effect from April 1, 2026, in line with the provisions laid down under the National Highways Fee (Determination of Rates and Collection) Rules, 2008.

The FASTag Annual Pass has steadily gained traction among private vehicle owners across India, with more than 56 lakh users opting for the facility since its introduction. The revised fee will apply to eligible non-commercial vehicles equipped with a valid FASTag and will enable them to use the Annual Pass at nearly 1,150 toll plazas located on National Highways and National Expressways.

Designed to simplify highway travel and reduce the need for frequent FASTag recharges, the Annual Pass allows users to make a one-time payment for a validity period of one year or up to 200 toll plaza crossings, whichever is earlier. The facility is available exclusively for non-commercial vehicles that are linked with an active FASTag account.

Once the one-time fee is paid through the Rajmarg Yatra App or via the official website of the National Highways Authority of India, the Annual Pass is activated within two hours on the FASTag linked to the registered vehicle, allowing users to seamlessly access toll plazas across the national highway network.

Introduced on August 15, 2025, the FASTag Annual Pass has witnessed an enthusiastic response from highway commuters, reflecting its growing popularity as a convenient and cost-effective toll payment solution that supports smoother and faster travel on India’s expanding highway infrastructure.
