Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Bhubaneswar, emerged as a vibrant hub of global academic exchange with the successful hosting of the International Conference on “Novel Frontiers in Pharmaceutical Sciences” on January 10 and 11, 2026. Jointly organized by the School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences, Centurion University, in collaboration with the Indian Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists and Technologists (IAPST), Kolkata, the two-day conference underscored the university’s growing stature in advanced pharmaceutical research and education.

The international academic gathering drew nearly 300 delegates, including more than 60 participants from outside the university, creating a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment for researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students. The conference served as a significant platform for exchanging ideas, sharing cutting-edge research, and fostering collaborations in the rapidly evolving field of pharmaceutical sciences.

The inaugural session began with a warm welcome by Prof. Biswajit Mukherjee, President, IAPST, followed by an address from Prof. Gurudutta Pattnaik, Organizing Secretary. Prof. S. C. Dinda, Secretary, IAPST, addressed the gathering, after which the abstract book of the conference was formally released. The inaugural session was further enriched by an inspiring address from Dr. Jagannath Padhi, Director, CUTM, who highlighted the importance of innovation-driven research and interdisciplinary approaches in addressing contemporary healthcare challenges.

The conference featured a series of engaging scientific sessions, including plenary lectures by eminent experts such as Dr. Vinay Saini, Dr. Sanjeeb K. Sahoo, and Prof. (Dr.) Alok Mukerjee. These sessions offered deep insights into emerging research areas and novel technologies shaping the future of pharmaceutical sciences. Invited lectures by distinguished academicians and researchers, along with informative video presentations, further enhanced the academic richness of the event.

Poster and oral presentation sessions provided an excellent opportunity for students and young researchers to present their research work, receive expert feedback, and engage in meaningful scholarly discussions. Delegates, chairpersons, and resource persons from outside the university expressed their appreciation for the conference’s academic rigor and well-organized structure, noting the valuable learning and networking opportunities it offered.

The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Himansu Bhusan Samal, Associate Dean, School of Pharmacy and Life Sciences. Dr. Gurudutta Pattnaik, Dean of the School, congratulated the faculty members of the Pharmacy Department for their tireless efforts and exemplary teamwork, which played a crucial role in the smooth conduct and success of the event. The conference effectively achieved its objective of highlighting emerging trends and novel research frontiers in pharmaceutical sciences, reinforcing Centurion University’s commitment to academic excellence and research-driven innovation.
