Honda Cars India Limited (HCIL) on Tuesday underlined its deep and enduring commitment to the Indian market, unveiling an ambitious future roadmap that places India at the heart of its global growth strategy. With a clear focus on SUVs and electric mobility, the company plans to roll out 10 new models by 2030, including seven SUVs, while positioning India as a key manufacturing and export hub for its next-generation electric vehicles.

Speaking on Honda’s future roadmap and the launch of the Elevate ADV Edition at Bhubaneswar today, Kunal Behl, Vice President, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd., said the company’s journey in India is entering an exciting new phase, with 10 planned launches by 2030 reflecting strong confidence in the market and its customers.

According to him, models such as the Honda City, Elevate and Amaze have consistently received strong response across the state, and the new Elevate ADV Edition is expected to further deepen customer engagement.

At the centre of Honda’s forward-looking plan is the Honda 0 (Alpha), the company’s first Battery Electric Vehicle for India, scheduled for launch in the second half of FY 2026–27. Recently showcased as a prototype at the Japan Mobility Show 2025, the Honda 0 Alpha belongs to the Honda 0 Series, a new global EV line-up that reflects the company’s “back to the starting point” philosophy in developing advanced electric mobility solutions. The model is expected to serve as a gateway to Honda’s future EV portfolio, underscoring India’s rising strategic importance in Honda’s worldwide operations.

Strengthening the ‘Make in India’ vision, Honda announced that the Honda 0 Alpha will be exclusively manufactured in India and exported to global markets, further elevating the country’s role as a critical production and export base. Alongside future model launches, HCIL also plans to keep the portfolio fresh through special editions and enhanced grades aimed at adding excitement and differentiation in the competitive SUV space.

Taking a step in this direction, Honda introduced the Elevate ADV Edition, a new flagship grade of its popular Elevate SUV. Designed for young, active and lifestyle-oriented customers, the ADV Edition blends bold design elements, Honda’s trusted 1.5L i-VTEC performance and advanced Honda Sensing safety technologies, while reinforcing the brand’s positioning of BOLD.MOVE.
