Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has strengthened its presence in the highly competitive 125cc two-wheeler segment with the launch of two special edition models—the bold and youth-centric Dio 125 X-Edition and the refined Shine 125 Limited Edition. Priced at ₹87,733 and ₹86,211 respectively (ex-showroom Delhi), the new offerings are aimed at capturing the aspirations of India’s evolving generation of riders through refreshed styling, premium design upgrades and Honda’s trusted reliability.

The launch underscores HMSI’s strategic focus on reinforcing its market leadership in the fast-growing commuter and scooter segments, where demand is increasingly driven by style, performance and brand assurance. Both new editions introduce enhanced visual identities while maintaining the practicality and comfort that define Honda’s mass mobility portfolio.

Announcing the launch, Tsutsumu Otani, Managing Director, President & CEO of Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said the company remains committed to understanding the aspirations of modern Indian riders and delivering products that reflect their evolving preferences. “At Honda, we continuously strive to bring products that resonate with the aspirations of India’s new-age riders. The all-new Dio 125 X Edition and Shine 125 Limited Edition reflect our commitment to offering new expressions of style while upholding the reliability and confidence that customers expect from Honda. These limited editions combine expressive design with Honda’s trusted quality, ensuring that every ride feels confident and effortless,” he said.

The Dio 125 X-Edition introduces a striking new personality with exclusive X-Edition graphics across the body panels, lending the scooter a bold and youthful appeal. Featuring a dual-tone colour combination of Pearl Deep Ground Grey and Pearl Siren Blue inspired by a cyber drift theme, the scooter delivers an energetic and contemporary visual stance. Enhancing its sporty character further are coloured alloy wheels finished in a distinctive Mat Frash shade, along with new X-Edition decals that highlight the scooter’s expressive design. HMSI believes the styling is tailored particularly for Gen Z riders and young professionals seeking individuality and confidence in urban mobility.

The Shine 125 Limited Edition, on the other hand, builds on the legacy of one of India’s most trusted 125cc motorcycles by adopting a modern and minimalist design philosophy. Retaining its iconic identity, the new edition introduces premium graphics and a refined visual profile that emphasizes simplicity and elegance. Offered in Pearl Siren Blue with pyrite brown finished alloy wheels, the motorcycle focuses on a clean surface design approach, highlighting comfort, functionality and sophistication, making it a practical yet premium everyday commuter option.

Commenting on the new editions, Yogesh Mathur, Director – Sales & Marketing at Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, said the company has carefully crafted both models to reflect distinct rider personalities while ensuring comfort and reliability. “The Dio 125 X Edition brings a bold, youthful energy shaped by Honda’s own Gen Z design team—built to reflect the individuality of today’s young riders. The Shine 125 Limited Edition, meanwhile, adopts a clean and timeless design approach that highlights the motorcycle’s sculptural form and sense of refinement. With these new editions, we aim to offer riders a blend of style, comfort and everyday assurance, giving them the confidence to express themselves on the road,” he said.

Bookings for both models have commenced through Honda’s official website as well as authorised dealerships across the country. HMSI has confirmed that deliveries will begin from the second week of February, further strengthening its product lineup in the mid-range two-wheeler segment.
