Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) reported robust business momentum with total sales of 5,67,351 units in February 2026, marking a sharp 34 per cent year-on-year growth driven by sustained domestic demand and steady export volumes.

The company’s domestic dispatches stood at 5,13,190 units during the month, while exports accounted for 54,161 units, underlining balanced traction across markets. The performance reflects strong consumer response to HMSI’s product portfolio and improved retail momentum in the two-wheeler segment.

On a year-to-date basis for FY26 (April 2025–February 2026), HMSI recorded cumulative sales of 58,20,556 units. This included 52,37,169 units in domestic sales and 5,83,387 units in exports, signalling consistent growth across the financial year and reinforcing the company’s position among India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers.

Beyond volumes, HMSI continued to invest in brand-led social initiatives and network expansion. During February, the company conducted nationwide road safety campaigns across multiple cities including Ajmer, Pune, Nashik, Narnaul, Vadodara, Hisar, Gorakhpur, Katihar, Aurangabad, Mangalore, Chhindwara and Kochi, promoting responsible riding practices and community awareness. Road Safety Conventions were also organised in Gwalior, Kochi, Agra and Madurai, engaging school principals and teachers to inculcate safe road behaviour among children.

The company marked the anniversaries of its Traffic Training Parks in Chennai and Jaipur, reiterating its long-term focus on rider education. Strengthening its retail footprint, HMSI opened a new authorised dealership in Tinsukia, supported by a trained sales and service team aimed at delivering personalised customer experience.

Positioning mobility as a tool for social empowerment, HMSI said its focus remains on safer and cleaner transportation through technologies such as ABS, CBS and rider-assist features. The company emphasised that its “Safety for Everyone” vision extends beyond riders to pedestrians and the broader road ecosystem, aligning its business growth with community impact and India’s evolving mobility landscape.
