Minister Rajnath Singh on Wednesday paid glowing tribute to the Indian Army on
the occasion of Indian Army Day, lauding its indomitable courage, supreme
sacrifice and unwavering commitment to safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity
of the nation. Extending his greetings to brave soldiers and their families,
the Raksha Mantri said the country remains eternally indebted to the men and
women in uniform who stand as the first line of defence of the Republic.
In a post on
X, Rajnath Singh said the Indian Army’s relentless vigilance along the borders
and its steadfast response during times of crisis have earned it global respect
and admiration. He underlined that the Army’s professionalism, discipline and
humanitarian service, both at home and abroad, exemplify its role not only as a
formidable fighting force but also as a compassionate institution committed to
national and human security.
Reaffirming
the government’s resolve, the Defence Minister reiterated its commitment to building
a modern, Aatmanirbhar and future-ready Indian Army equipped to meet emerging
security challenges. He said a grateful nation stands united in pride and
respect for its soldiers, whose selfless service and valour continue to
safeguard India’s freedom, unity and integrity.
