Reliance Jio
employees across Odisha on Saturday participated in cleanliness drives at more
than 25 locations as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva initiative under the Swachh
Bharat Mission, spreading awareness about the importance of cleanliness in
everyday life.
In Bhubaneswar,
employees and senior leadership of the Jio Odisha state office, in association
with the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC), undertook a cleanliness drive
in and around Mahatma Gandhi Park near Janata Maidan.
BMC sanitation
workers and the local corporator also joined the initiative, which aimed at
encouraging citizens to adopt cleanliness as a regular practice and contribute
to maintaining cleaner public spaces.
The campaign
witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 300 Jio employees across
Odisha. Cleanliness activities were organised at several high-footfall public
places, including railway stations, bus stands, market areas, public parks and
educational institutions.
The initiative is
part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 campaign being undertaken by
Reliance Jio employees and their family members from September 17 to October 2
to mark the 12th anniversary of the Swachh Bharat Mission.
Through the campaign, the Jio and wider Reliance family is contributing to the collective effort towards a cleaner and healthier India, while encouraging communities to participate in cleanliness activities and promote responsible civic practices.
The initiative also reflects the company's commitment to Swachhata and its efforts to inspire people to take individual and collective action towards creating cleaner surroundings.
