World Health Day, Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Chemicals
& Fertilizers Jagat Prakash Nadda underscored the Government’s continued
emphasis on preventive and promotive healthcare as a cornerstone for building a
healthier India. Extending greetings to citizens across the nation, the
Minister highlighted the importance of balanced living and the integration of
traditional wellness practices with modern medical science to strengthen public

the healthcare system, making quality treatment more accessible, affordable,

Highlighting key
flagship programmes such as Ayushman Bharat and Pradhan Mantri Bharatiya
Janaushadhi Pariyojana, the Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to
ensuring equitable access to affordable healthcare services across the country.
These initiatives have played a significant role in expanding health coverage,
reducing treatment costs, and strengthening healthcare infrastructure,
particularly for economically vulnerable populations.
