Announcing a major boost to regional healthcare, Prasanna Panda, Odisha Business Head, JSW Steel – Odisha Mining Division, on Monday revealed that a modern 100-bed hospital is being constructed at Koida, as JSW Steel Odisha marked the 77th Republic Day with great patriotic fervour across its operational locations in the state.

The Republic Day celebrations reflected JSW Steel’s unwavering commitment to nation-building, community welfare and the constitutional values of unity, equality and responsibility. Flag hoisting ceremonies and vibrant cultural programmes were organised at Narayanposhi Mines, Nuagaon Mines, Ganua Mines, Jajang Guest House, the Barbil Office and the Bhubaneswar Office, witnessing enthusiastic participation from employees, senior leadership and community representatives.

At Narayanposhi Mines, the National Flag was jointly unfurled by Prabodha Acharya, Chief Sustainability Officer, JSW Group, and Prasanna Panda, in the presence of Ram Shankar Sharma, Odisha Head of Operations, Chittaranjan Bahanipati, Odisha HR Head, and other senior officials.

Addressing the gathering, Panda extended warm Republic Day greetings to employees and stakeholders and reiterated JSW Steel’s strong focus on inclusive development. He informed that the upcoming 100-bed hospital at Koida would significantly strengthen healthcare infrastructure in the mining belt and enhance access to quality medical services for local communities.

Highlighting the importance of the day, Acharya emphasised the need to uphold the ideals enshrined in the Constitution. He reaffirmed JSW Steel’s contribution to India’s industrial growth while pursuing a sustainable and responsible development path, noting that Republic Day is a reminder of the collective duty to foster equality, unity and national progress.

The celebrations were further enriched by cultural performances, community engagement initiatives and the felicitation of security personnel and frontline teams for their dedicated service.
