The School of
Computer Engineering and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of KIIT Deemed
to be University successfully organised the prestigious ISTE–BNY Knowledge
Enhancement Programme Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Intelligent Data
Systems: Method, Analytics and Deployment” from May 19 to 25, 2026 in online
mode. KIIT achieved a significant milestone by securing a place among the top
30 institutions selected nationwide under this highly competitive initiative.
More than 500 proposals submitted by coordinators from institutions across the
country were received under the ISTE–BNY collaboration, out of which KIIT
earned selection. Notably, KIIT emerged as the only institution from Eastern
India to receive funding support for conducting the FDP, underlining the
university’s excellence in research and technological education. The proposal
submitted by Dr. Subhashree Darshana, Assistant Professor (II), School of
Computer Engineering, KIIT Deemed to be University, was approved under the
programme, and she is serving as the coordinator of the FDP.
The inaugural
session, conducted online on May 19, 2026, witnessed the presence of eminent
academicians and dignitaries, including Pratapsingh K. Desai, President, ISTE;
S. M. Ali, Executive Secretary, ISTE; Sanjaya Kumar Patra, Vice-Chancellor,
Dharanidhar University; and Nibedita Nath, Director IQAC, MM University, along
with the leadership of KIIT. The week-long programme features 18 expert
sessions by speakers from India and abroad covering Artificial Intelligence,
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Predictive Analytics, MLOps and Intelligent
Data Systems. The programme aims to strengthen research capabilities, foster
innovation and promote industry–academia collaboration among faculty members
and researchers.
