Maruti Suzuki India Ltd has achieved a historic milestone by clocking its highest-ever annual production of 22.55 lakh vehicles in the calendar year 2025, marking a robust growth of 9.3 per cent over the previous year. This feat reinforces the company’s undisputed leadership in India’s passenger vehicle market and highlights the growing strength of domestic manufacturing.
The country’s largest carmaker has crossed the 20-lakh production mark for the second consecutive year, underlining sustained demand and operational resilience amid a competitive automotive landscape. In 2024, the company had produced 20.63 lakh units.
According to the company, the 2025 production numbers include vehicles manufactured for domestic sales, exports, and OEM supplies, reflecting Maruti Suzuki’s expanding footprint across multiple markets. The performance also signals improved capacity utilisation across its manufacturing facilities and a steady recovery in global and domestic supply chains.
Industry analysts view the record output as a strong indicator of Maruti Suzuki’s strategic focus on scale, efficiency, and market responsiveness, positioning the company well for future growth as India’s auto sector continues its upward trajectory.
