Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday announced a two per cent increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for Odisha government employees, providing relief to lakhs of serving staff and pensioners across the State.

With the latest revision, the DA for State government employees has been enhanced from 58 per cent to 60 per cent. The increased allowance will be implemented retrospectively from January 1, 2026.

According to the announcement, employees will receive the revised DA in cash along with their salary for the month of May.

In a parallel move, the State Government has also approved a two per cent increase in Temporary Increase (TI) for pensioners. The revised TI will similarly be disbursed with the May pension.

The decision is expected to benefit nearly 8.5 lakh government employees and pensioners in Odisha.
